- Use of Services: ProperTax provides an online platform that analyzes your property information and provides a recommendation on whether you should appeal your assessment or not, along with an estimate of your potential savings. If you decide to appeal with ProperTax, you agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your property, including its address, size, and value. We rely on this information to provide our recommendation and to file your appeal. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any losses or damages arising from inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Payment and Refunds: You agree to pay the $49 fee for our services before we file your appeal. We do not offer refunds for our services once we have filed your appeal.
- Contingency Fee: ProperTax reserves the right to charge a one-time contingency fee for successful appeals. The Contingency fee is calculated based on the amount of savings you recognize and will never exceed $99.
- No Guarantee of Results: We cannot guarantee that your property tax assessment will be reduced or that you will receive any savings as a result of our services. We will use our best efforts to provide you with a recommendation and to file your appeal, but the outcome of your appeal is ultimately determined by the assessor's office and the appeals process.
- No Legal Advice: Our services do not constitute legal advice or representation. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal services. If you have questions or concerns about your legal rights or obligations, you should consult an attorney.
- No Real Estate or Appraisal advice: Our services do not constitute real estate or appraisal advice. We are not licensed realtors or real estate appraisers.
- Intellectual Property: The ProperTax website and all of its content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, are the property of ProperTax and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use or reproduce our content without our prior written consent.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time, with or without notice to you. Your continued use of our services after any such modification constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
- Governing Law: These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
